Creating Waves with Jim Vision

Jim Vision’s work has been taken over the world. Like the tsunami style waves he has been painting from Tahiti to Teufelsberg, Shoreditch to the sunny shores of LA, Jim Vision’s waves have been taking the world by storm. Some of you may have seen some of these beauties in your local area, especially taking prominence in spots in Shoreditch from Dereham place, Rhoda street, Turville street and round the back of Redchurch street, but that’s not all. Jim’s waves have seen the likes of the Brooklyn Projects skate shop in LA, the Audience offices, the beautiful beaches of Tahiti and even at Koningsdag festival in Amsterdam. Can’t stop, won’t stop. Like a brut force, Jim continues to make waves on the street. Get your anoraks out.

Amsterdam continued…

During our stay in the land of the Dutch, we spent some time at Kingspray festival (see previous article) for their national holiday King’s Day aka Koningsdag. But whilst we were there we spent a little bit of time making our mark in a number of different spots in this wonderful city.

We passed by a climbing centre and found a beautiful wall outside their space that Jim redecorated with a stunning mural combining portraiture and landscape which he calls ‘Mountain Spirit of the Lost’

We were also asked to come by a communications event hosted by Tom Tom to provide their skate park with a fitting backdrop. Right up our alley! And of course, in true Amsterdam style, we spent some time exploring the city, taking pictures of cats and sitting and enjoying what the wonderful Dutch had to offer… Oh how to be back…

Jim Vision @ Kingspray

Last weekend we whisked off to the lovely Amsterdam, well Koningsdag to be precise, to paint at the world renowned Kinspray festival. Presented by Streetart_today, the festival showcased 12 different artists from across the globe and had them painting live along 50metres of shipping containers. Artists included Mr June, Ottoschade & Sniek. Set up across a vast mariner alongside an affordable arts festival, live music and dance; this festival had a great vibe and did exactly what it said on the tin: create a fun and family friendly day of events.

Jim Vision took over an entire panel, filling it with his signature expressionistic orange and blue mountains and sinister, dramatic waves.
