Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol Aerosol Mural Video!

Without further ado we present the brand new Mission Impossible : Ghost Protocol Aerosol mural.  Filmed on location in Clerkenwell in London.

No Plan, No Backup, No Sleep, No Choice

We were set the impossible mission, by the Head of Marketing at Paramount, of painting a huge billboard for their Christmas release and the biggest blockbuster of 2011. As the message self destructed and the implications began to dawn, We set to work making plans for what was a gruelling three days on the side of a building in the freezing cold.

In the 4th and biggest installment of the Mission Impossible series, Ethan Hunt and his team race against time to track down a dangerous terrorist who has gained access to Russian nuclear launch codes and is planning a strike on the United States. The IMF is implicated in the bombing of the Kremlin, forcing the President to invoke Ghost Protocol, the IMF is disbanded and disavowed and key figures assassinated, The team go rogue and chase Hendricks to Dubai, and from there to Mumbai, but several spectacular action sequences later, they still  might be too late to stop a disaster.

Tom Cruise reportedly etched a tag in the top spire of the Dubai’s Burj Khalifa while filming the incredible scene when he scales the outside of the Burj Khalifa tower, the tallest building in the world, without the use of a stunt double. No matter what you think of Tom Cruise – You can’t argue with that.

Mission J*Impossible accomplished!

We are proud to present the photographic evidence of all our hard work and Jim’s crazy rope abseiling Impossible Mission – for Ghost Protocol.

We assembled a crack team of professionals, laughed in the face of danger and health and safety, climbed entire buildings and repelled back down them, painted Tom Cruise and the Burj Khaleef.  All in a days work for End of the Line. (OK three days)

Thank you to all the crew who made this possible and recorded the process,Big Jim, MOJO, Toby Skills, Miss M, Kiara, Tom, Big Al, Safety Jim, 303DB, the Bens and Jet the lifter man.  We couldn’t have done it without your help and MOJO’s mums curries.  Rest easy we done did it good.

Ghost Protocol part 3

The third installment of a film franchise is almost always the worst, but this isn’t true of our Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol production – it just keeps getting better and better. Jim is totally comfortable in his abseil harness, the sun is shining for the third day in a row (in December!) and all the background and lettering is finished already. Just Mr Cruise to paint today but it’s already looking amazing, people need convincing that it’s hand-painted when they see it!

The video for this one is easily going to rival our Tron video we reckon. The weather has been a gift, consistently bright conditions making everything look lovely and clear through our viewfinders. A mixture of timelapse and video shot from the ground, cherry picker, surrounding rooftops, people’s flats we could blag our way in to, the middle of the road, and from directly above Jim – a rope’s eye view. We can’t wait to share it with you so stay tuned for that but until then feast your eyes on the gallery of todays pics and let us know what you think in the comments section.

Ghost Protocol Part 2

That’s right it’s the sequel, but this one is actually even better than the original. Whilst the world waits with baited breath for Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol to hit their movie screens we’re eagerly watching paint hit our East London vinyl screen. The sun is shining, the cameras are rolling and Jim is doing all his own stunts. The sight of all 6’5 of Mr. Vision swinging from skinny ropes 60 feet up in the crisp December air has been stopping pedestrians and getting honks from passing traffic all day. We’re starting to get through the initial footage and it looks amazing, our timelapses have definitely hit new heights, and not just physically! We can’t wait to show you the finished video but for now you’ll have to make do with these shots and keep your eyes peeled for the photos of Tom Cruise being painted tomorrow.

Ghost Protocol, the latest installment from the super-successful Mission Impossible franchise, hits our cinemas this month and as part of the promo for it we’re dangling Probs from a rope in Clerkenwell for the next three days so that he can paint a massive mural of Tom Cruise. Jim had to attend some lessons last week to be allowed to do this and is now a fully qualified Spiderman. Check out these first shots of him getting the initial lettering done, and yes it’s as high as it looks! Leave comments below and if you’re in the Clerkenwell area tomorrow or on Wednesday come and marvel at Jim swinging in the breeze.
